For men, take your typical jeans waist size and add 2. For instance if you wear a men's size 32 jean, you'd typically wear a 34 belt. If you are an odd numbered size like a 33, then size up to a 36 belt.

For women, take your typical jeans waist size and add 6. For instance, if you wear a women's size 26 jean you'd typically wear a size 32 belt. If you are an odd numbered size like a 27, then size up to a 34.
